A useless look at what I did today

I've been doing some work recently on my own sites and .. what do you know, the freakin search engines all had to pick the same day to crawl my site while I was testing some stuff to do with my text a few days ago. I all but vanished now for a short while until the next crawl, but I guess that just means I can focus on getting work done and tapping my fnigers repeatedly as I'm impatient to find out the results of my work.

Web designers are like mechanics, accountants or any other trade. They take great care of their clients stuff but don't spend a lot of time working on their own personal things. It's the mentality of "Ya, I can look after it, but I'll do it later". I get hundreds of ideas that I want to put to use, and by the time I get around to doing things like that ... I want something I haven't thought of before.

I have some busy weeks of shooting coming up, a few websites being launched and also want to get around to doing some business cards for myself.

I did finally sign up on a new board this wek called uPrivy. Smaller group and even though it doesn't get the hordes of posts like some of the other places, it's mostly relevant info and sticks to the topic.

New Year, News Stuff

I'm definitely looking forward to the next couple of weeks. My new site is finally launched. I'm hoping google is reading this because all of my pages now need to be recached so they don't look so fucked up.  But the lightat the end of that tunnel is that I like the long awaited update and should have an easier time with keeping it stocked with fresh content.

My whining for the week? OK, same issue as the clients I have say about their clients ... no shows and cancellations. I had 2 of them this week and then had to reschedule a shoot today because I couldn't confirm the location. 0 for 3 in this week to get new photos. Crossing my fingers for Saturday.

New projects in the next few weeks will be a NEW site for a massage parlor ... and holy cow ... it's not SRM. I think I'm looking forward to it because I haven't done a massage parlor site for a Toronto Spa in a while and looking forward to the new viewpoints and opinions.
